Hi, I’m Jamie

I love helping people “Live & Lead on Purpose”.

I’m passionate about supporting individuals and organizations to achieve deep transformation. Whether serving as your consultant, trainer, coach, or retreat facilitator, I walk beside you to help grow awareness of the body's deep wisdom and map new possibilities. I believe that by connecting with our wholeness and radiating confidence rooted in our joy, we can make choices that uplift our own well-being and that of others, creating the conditions for a more fair, just, and inclusive society.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me taking long walks (preferably in the woods), tending to my spirit, or curled up in a cozy chair reading or writing. Be sure to check out my award-winning children’s book, Two Worlds Together in Me, which celebrates diverse identities and the beauty of being your most authentic self.

Publications

Two Worlds Together in Me

This wonderful book is beautifully illustrated and reads like a poem. Each page illustrates children who are biracial, adopted, or physically challenged. Kids will be encouraged to engage in open discussion about how it feels to be different and the importance of valuing the characteristics and traits that make us all unique and special.

Two Worlds Together in Me was named the 2005 Children’s Multicultural Book of the Year by the National Association of Multicultural Education.

Jamie and her associates at Gumbo Kids Inc. are proud partners of The Spring Institute for Intercultural Learning.  They have donated thousands of dollars in books and educational materials to promote culturally responsive learning opportunities for the immigrant and refugee children and families served by the organization.

“We feel so fortunate to have formed this partnership.  We serve close to 100 families a year, many of whom are non-English and non-Spanish speaking. Parents are using the materials to teach their children and learn literacy skills themselves.”
– Melanie Collier, HIPPY Coordinator (Home Instruction for Preschool Youngsters)
